1. Sapodilla Smoothie Bowl:


  • 2 ripe sapodillas
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • A handful of granola
  • Fresh berries for topping


Peel and chop the sapodillas and banana and place them in the blender. Add the almond milk and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a bowl and top with granola and fresh berries. Enjoy this nutritious and filling breakfast to kickstart your day.

2. Sapodilla Chia Pudding:


  • 1 ripe sapodilla
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 3 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup


In a bowl, mix the chia seeds with almond milk and leave it to soak for at least 20 minutes until the chia seeds have absorbed the liquid and become gel-like. In the meantime, peel and mash the sapodilla into a puree. Once the chia seeds are ready, add the sapodilla puree and sweetener of choice. Mix well, and enjoy this healthy and sweet treat.

3. Sapodilla Pancakes:


  • 1 ripe sapodilla
  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Maple syrup or honey for drizzling


In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the egg and milk together. Peel and mash the sapodilla and add it to the egg mixture. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well to form a smooth batter. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side. Serve hot with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. Enjoy this delicious and nutritious breakfast treat.
